This is the first large applique quilt I made. I found some blocks that my great-grandmother, Josie, had made, and bought some yellow material (doesn't match exactly) and appliqued enough to make a full size quilt. The alternating blocks have little flowers and butterflies in them, and I only paid 50 cents a yard for the material. Apparently, Josie, or "Little Grandma" as she was affectionately known, loved butterflies, because she made several butterfly quilts. (Pictures to come. . .)
