DOLLAR TREE HALLOWEEN CRAZY EYEBALLS IN A JAR CRAFT

Dollar Tree had plastic eyeballs, earlier in the month, but when I went back to grab a couple of bags, they were all gone!  So, I found a pack of plastic ping-pong balls (also at Dollar Tree), and I bought a couple of packs of permanent markers, and made my own crazy eyeballs in a jar.  Easy peasy!

38-Second time lapse, from light to darkness, and back to light, from Athens, Tennessee:  TOTAL ECLIPSE AT THE PARK 2017.  The photo of totality was taken by my son-in-law (all photos copyrighted 8-21-17...posted with permission). It was a spectacular event!  The skies slowly started darkening, with a somewhat bluish haze, and it became considerably cooler.  The crickets started singing (loudly), street and security lights came on.  There was a lovely 360-degree sunset all around, then the moment of totality!  It was amazing and beautiful!  There was white light pouring out of the black disc of the moon, and multi-colored lights dancing inside the white light.  It was almost indescribable... very strange; almost as if time stood still and we were in another dimension - very Twilight.  Then, when the sun first emerged from the black circle, the "Diamond Ring" appeared, and it was truly awesome!  The event was amazing, and I am so thankful to have been able to witness such a beautiful event.  And this was just a small taste of what's to come.  I believe that when we die, we will see EVERYTHING in space... all the beauty and strangeness - things we cannot even imagine!

5 DAYS OF DISNEY FOOD REVIEWS: Orlando - December, 2015

Disney World food is expensive.  In fact, the whole experience of Disney World is expensive!  But, if you can manage to take your family, even once, it is worth the magic of seeing your children's eyes light up, while taking in the whole artistry and beauty of Disney.  My son and daughter-in-law love to visit Disney.  They have been 16 times in 7 years, and have become quite the experts on the in's and out's of Disney navigation and ways to save money.  Just a few years ago, your food choices were limited to hamburgers, hot dogs, turkey legs, and chicken sandwiches, and could only get a wide variety of food at the pricey restaurants inside the parks and at the resorts; and those generic food choices were much higher than fast food.  Well, Disney must have realized that people resented paying higher prices for generic foods.  The good news, now, is that you have a WIDE VARIETY of pretty good food... the bad news, is that it's still overpriced.  But, getting delicious food at a higher price, is better than getting so-so food at a higher price.  If you ever plan to visit Disney World in Orlando, Florida, here are some of the best places to get really delicious food.  5 DAYS OF DISNEY FOOD REVIEWS - December, 2015:

MY DAUGHTER TRICKED HER NEW HUSBAND!

My daughter just got married in June!  When it came time for her new hubby to remove the garter to throw to all the eligible bachelors, he thought he was "feeling her up"... but she tricked him!  He was actually "feeling up" his new Father-in-Law!  LOL

MORE STAMPED CANDLES...FUN & EASY PROJECT!

STAMPED CANDLES... I bought a nice, big, candle at Hobby Lobby (half price).  I simply stamped these images onto white tissue paper, using regular black ink, and heated the images onto the candle using a heat gun.  Then, I added a few rhinestone embellishments.  It's a quick way to add a little "OOMP" to an otherwise plain candle!

MAYAN RUINS / Chichen Itza - Progresso, Mexico 2011

What an awesome experience to stand among the great Mayan Ruins!  Although it was the hottest place I've EVER been, it was so fascinating to learn about this strange and mighty culture.  Spent the day there...could have spent the week!   (photos are copyrighted 2011)

FALL FOLIAGE IN EAST TENNESSEE!

I have been enjoying my ride to work...taking in the colorful Fall trees, that seem to make everything around them appear blah, and boring. Beautiful, vivid, and breathtaking...God is the ultimate artist!

TIME FOR GHOST HUNTING!

This is one place that we rookie ghost hunters always try to visit around October. It is creepy, even during the day. The upstairs bedroom did have a noose in it, but last year when we returned, it was gone. We always get some strange pictures and hear some strange noises when we visit this place! BOO!

BEAUTIFUL CHARLESTON, SOUTH CAROLINA!

BOONE PLANTATION...the Mighty Oaks!

FOLLY BEACH!

Southern charm, the beautiful ocean, lovely homes, rich history, shrimp & grits, benne wafers, and ROMANCE, to boot! Great southern city!

Beautiful old cemeteries, and super creepy! Love it.

No skyscrapers in Charleston! There is a city ordinance that no building can be built taller than the highest church steeple.

SNOW IN THE SOUTH!

The snow is beautiful, but treacherous, on these back roads in the South. Worse, have been the ice storms that have caused major problems for small southern towns. Local road crews were not prepared for snow storms of this capacity; nor, did they have the resources to deal with the dangerous conditions. I think we are ALL ready for Spring!

My Halloween Costume 2010 - Scaring the nephews!

Oh, yes. . . this evil outfit scared the BA-JEE-BEES out of my nephews, especially the oldest, who is almost 18! LOL Toilet paper and Elmer's School glue for the "mask", and some plain old craft paint mixed with a little vaseline for the paint. Had a LOT OF FUN doing this, and then SCARING my nephews! LOL

GHOST HUNTING in Tennessee

Here are 2 pictures of a creepy old house just miles from where I live. . . We kept thinking we saw something move in the upper right window, but we're not sure if it was our imaginations, or not! LOL But, here's 2 pictures I took, on the same night. Nothing shows up in the second picture, but the first picture clearly shows SOMETHING! Also, this is the second year we have visited this place, and our pictures alway show an eerie blue light shining out of the bottom-left window. The walls of the room are not blue. They are a dingy white, and some of it is covered in newspaper. The pictures we took last year how the same blue light. Creepy. . .
