Okay. I am a person who dreams EVERY time I go to sleep. . . even when I just nap. Soooooo, I've decided to record some of my more lively dreams, since I'm convinced I'm much more imaginative and interesting in my dreams, than in real life! This was last night's dream:
To begin with, I was about 12 or 13 years old, and riding a school bus home in the afternoon. However, our regular school bus driver was absent, and a younger woman was driving. She had a "friend" (we kids discussed whether or not the friend was her lover), and she was SMOKING on the bus; which irritated me, greatly. I asked the woman where Mr. (?) was, and she told me not to worry about it. So, she's smoking and talking to this other woman, and not watching where she's going, and I'm very discombobulated, because as a kid I was totally anal and obsessive/compulsive, and I didn't like my routine being upset. So, sure enough, we got close to my street, and I stood up, knowing that I wasn't supposed to get out of my seat. But, I deduced that the woman wouldn't notice anyway, since she was so engrossed in conversation with the "friend". Anyway, I saw Mother and Daddy standing at the end of my road, waiting for me, so I told the lady to slow down. She told me to "sit down" and quit telling her what to do. I told her, in a panicked tone of voice, that she was about to pass my road. She told me that we were taking a different route. I told her that my parents would be upset, and they would be looking for me, and she told me to sit down and shut up because she wasn't taking me home. She was being really mean, and had this wild look in her face, and then she said she was just kidding. So, we start up this hill, on a narrow, winding road, and we come to a huge suitcase. I told her not to run over the suitcase because there might be a dead body in there. She and the lady just looked at me like I was mental. . . but, sure enough, she ran over the darn thing, and a bloated body popped out and got stuck on the underside of the bus and we dragged it for several yards, before she stopped. I told her that she was in trouble now, and she didn't say a thing, because she knew she really WAS in trouble! So, she called the school, and another bus came and got all of us and took us to a very overcrowded school that I had never seen before. I was going from room to room, and hall to hall, looking for a familiar face, but didn't know anyone. The school was so crowded there were students in the hall, with their desks out in the hall, and some of them had IV's in their arms, and bandages. I kept thinking that I was thirsty and hungry, and that I was getting weaker and weaker, but nobody offered to give me an IV, or water, and I couldn't find any adult. I kept wondering why my parents hadn't found me, yet, and why nobody was helping me, because I felt like I was just fading away. Suddenly, it occurred to me that I was a lot older than everyone in the school, and that, as a matter of fact, I was an adult. I kept thinking, how did I do that? And, I kept thinking that I hoped that lady and her "friend" got into trouble for causing all that chaos. So, after I figured out why nobody was helping me (because I was an adult), I kept thinking, well, I must have a home somewhere, so I've got to find out what town I'm in. . . then I awoke to the alarm; which is very, very rare, because I almost always wake up before the alarm goes off. --Sweet Dreams
