New Bunnies. . .

Hope everyone had a great Easter Sunday! Here, unfortunately, it was flurrying snow, and cooooooold!!! Unusual for East TN! Caleb and I managed to quickly stitch up 2 more bunnies, and quickly it was! The new bunny buds are named, Dixie (yellow) and Gus (blue). Now we have, Lucy, Dixie, and Gus. We have 5 more cut and ready for sewing, but they'll get packed away until next year. Oh, well, 3 bunnies are better than no bunnies!!! We pinked the edges and used buttons for eyes. Their tails were made of yo-yo's. . . although Caleb was QUICK to point out that their tails looked like they were on their BACKS, instead of their behinds (and they do). . .Oh, the wisdom and honesty of a child! I'll take those off and re-stitch them to the bottoms (next year). Also, 2 bunnies have no legs (they're made to sit in a basket, easily), but Caleb asked me to put legs on the blue one (his to take home), because he says they look funny without legs. . . and they do. Well, this is my first attempt at bunnies, anyway. . . and speaking of first attempts, you can see the fabric eggs I made beside Gus and Dixie. In theory it was a grand idea! In reality, the first egg looks more like a lumpy, rainbow-colored, potato than an Easter egg! The second one (next to Gus) looks better. We glued little gems onto the eggs. Next year I'll do better. . . but we had lots of fun making them!
